Lyris Inc, an email marketing innovation leader, has an immediate opportunity for a full-time Professional Services Engineer working out of the Barrie, Ontario office. The position interacts directly with customers who require customization to the software .
Members of the Professional Services team help solve customer problems, sales problems, and work with the Engineering team to help improve Lyris' products.
The successful candidate will have the following skills:

2+ years commercial Engineering experience
-
Windows and Linux/Unix (both important!)
-
SQL (Microsoft, Oracle, and/or MySQL)
-
Scripting experience (e.g., Perl, PHP, Tcl, JavaScript)

Programming experience (e.g., Java, C#)
-
Networking and systems administration (TCP/IP and SMTP)

Proven track record of problem solving skills
-
Great oral and written communication
- BS/MS-CS/EE or equivalent experience

Responsibilities:

Come up with innovative solutions using SQL and scripting languages (Perl, Tcl, JavaScript, PHP, Flash) that enhance
our software products (two distinct email marketing platforms)

Work with the sales and account management teams to solve customers' integration problems
